When I threw the chicken into the air fryer, I thought this would last me a couple of days. After the first meal, I planned to shred the meat and store it in a box for a sandwich later in the week. Much to my dismay, we finished all of it in one sitting for a meal.
My experiment for the past few weeks has been to use spice mixes to season chicken and use the air fryer. The advantage of using pre-blended mixed spices helps me to finish my prep in a few minutes instead of trying to mix the right combination of ingredients.
This week was Trader Joes Citrusy Garlic seasoning. I have to say it didn’t disappoint at all. The small bottle of the spice mix will last me about three to four batches of chicken legs or chicken thighs.
The description from the Trader Joe’s website says it all.
Trader Joe's Cuban Style Citrusy Garlic Seasoning Blend is essentially a blend of garlic, lime oil, lime juice, onion powder, salt, and red pepper-plus bay leaves, coriander, cumin, cilantro, black pepper, oregano, cilantro, basil, lemon oil, marjoram, and parsley to round it out. It's all the essential flavors you'd find packaged in one little jar.
